美國華裔舞蹈協會 文﹕羅楚瑩 美國華裔舞蹈協會是一個非營利藝術機構，於1988年在美國洛杉磯成立。舞蹈協會在每年選出十五位理事中，推選出一位會長及三位副會長執行協會各項活動，定期舉行理事會議，共同竭力推廣並宣揚中華優美的舞蹈文化，以達到美國社會多元文化的理念。 二十年來美國華裔舞蹈協會會員從七個舞蹈團體，二十位舞蹈藝術家擴大到近三十個舞團及學校，七十餘位專業及業餘舞蹈藝術家，參與廣受好評之各項年度活動﹕“中華舞篇”，“舞蹈比賽”，“舞蹈夏令營”與“兒童舞展”等。造就了許多舞蹈教師，舞蹈編導，及專業舞蹈人才。舞蹈協會更於2004年成立“第二代舞劇場”，為舞蹈協會多年來培育長成的年輕舞者開拓了一個深受矚目的專業舞台！ 今年美國華裔舞蹈協會為了擴大慶祝創會二十年，特別在上述的年度活動之外，增加了三項大型活動，與廣大熱愛中華文化的朋友們一齊驗證，歡度二十歲生辰﹕ 1.舞蹈季: 自二月份起由各舞團派舞者到各就近之圖書館，大學，公園休閒中心介紹及表演 十場中國民族及民間舞蹈，此舞蹈季的最後一場，也是最精彩的演出便是在2007 年四月二十一日於洛杉磯聖蓋博大劇院舉行的中華舞篇～歡慶二十。該場演出成 功的吸引了近一千四百位觀眾，獲得了廣大觀眾熱烈的迴響。 2.慈善表演: 舞蹈協會聯合國立台灣藝術大學“大觀樂舞集” 於五月五日舞蹈節在洛杉磯共 同推出～為他們而舞～為華裔殘障者家長協會籌款活動。由大觀樂舞集及美國華 裔舞蹈協會各推出精華表演項目，中場加上由華裔殘障者家長協會五位輕度智 障，極愛跳舞的女孩表演“彩綢舞”。完美的演出感人肺腑，籌募數字超越了預 定的款項，令人雀躍。 3.赴北京文化交流表演: 個人特別感謝2008年北京奧林匹克型像設計，世界著名藝術家韓美林老師及夫 人中國電影家協會大型活動部主任周建萍老師的引見，認識了中國舞蹈家協會書 記馮雙白教授，因而促成美國華裔舞蹈協會於2007年8月25日於北京做中美文 化交流的訪問演出！美國華裔舞蹈協會將推出由青年編舞家編創由舞協“舞劇 場”演出的“當代舞蹈”和“音樂與舞蹈的對話”的即興舞蹈，及由三位美國迪 斯耐樂園編舞家所串編的自1920年以來之美國舞蹈文化～“舞過歲月”，有爵 士，踢踏，嘻哈等，敘述移民故事。舞蹈協會並誠摯邀請北京本地舞蹈愛好者表 演精彩的“中國民間舞蹈”共襄盛舉。我們深切期待中國之行平安成功！ 舞蹈是一門綜合藝術，它結合肢體動作，感情，意念想像，音樂，美術，雕塑，歷史背景，故事敘述，心靈傾訴等等，將人們內心深處的語言，娓娓道出。 它是真，是善，也是美。 America Chinese Dance Association The America Chinese Dance Association (ACDA) is a Non-Profited Cultural Organization founded in 1988 in Los Angeles. With the objective to promoting the Chinese folk dance and serve the Multi-Culture Community. In the past twenty years, ACDA have actively participated in numerous community activities, such as Rosa Parade as performers and riders, Music Center's Christmas Celebrations, Disneyland's Special Events, Rose Bowl's Asian Events, San Gabriel Valley's Chinese New Year Celebrations, etc., our performances can be seen almost everywhere in Southern California. The members of ACDA grow from 50 individual members to nearly 27 Dance Troops and individuals in the last 20 years. America-Chinese Dance Association has been focused on Dance Education since it was established. Four major activities were promoted every year: Chinese Dance Festival, Summer Chinese Camp, Children's Dance Festival, and Chinese Dance Competition. This year, April 21 st, 2007 is our 20th Chinese Dance festival anniversary. In order to celebrate such a magnificent approach, we had workshop the different scales of Chinese dance performances in all libraries in the large Los Angeles area starting the month of Chinese Spring Festival - February of 2007. We know these beautiful Chinese Dances can bring audiences proprieties and good health. In year of 2004, America-Chinese Dance Association graciously established a Second Generation Dance Troop call "ACDA-Dance Theater" to promote ACDA second generation young dancers. This effort is to wish to bring a broader view of Chinese Dance as well as Dances in every corner of the global world. In the past 20 years, ACDA Presidents and their teams have contributed their talents and efforts to the organization and to its members. From that, ACDA developed a rich cultural atmosphere to the diverse communities in the larger Los Angeles area. ACDA not only brought Chinese Folk arts to the mainstream and other communities, we also created a lot of job opportunities for some Chinese Folk Dance teachers as well as for their students.
